Psalm 104:1-4

‘Let all that I am praise the Lord!’ That means we are to hold nothing back. We are even instructed to bring a sacrifice of praise. Consider Hebrews 13:15:

“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭15‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

What is a sacrifice of praise? It is praise you choose to give even when you don’t feel like it. Sacrificial praise is the highest praise we can give because it expresses faith in the One who always comes through for us even though we don’t presently see Him. Circumstances can be like clouds that blot out the sun and make it harder for us to see. Praise has a way of punching through those clouds.

As Hebrews stated, praise is to be the fruit of the lips of those who give thanks to His name. We should be a people of praise. Circumstances are temporary but He is eternal. We have more than enough reasons to praise God, past, present, and future.

Remember the encouragement the Apostle Paul’s gives us in 2 Corinthians 4:18:

“For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Life is all about Who we are focused on and Who living for. As Psalm 33:1 states:

“Let the godly sing for joy to the Lord; it is fitting for the pure to praise Him.”

Amen!
