Psalm 111:9

You would almost think this is a New Testament scripture. David very prophetically spoke of Jesus paying the price for our sins on the cross some 1000 years before it happened. How does that happen? God! God knows everything and reveals the future to his prophets.
Consider Amos 3:7:
“Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets.”
Amos 3:7 NLT

God gave us all kind of markers through His prophets in the Old Testament of what to look for in the Messiah.
He would be born of a virgin -
Isaiah 7:14
He would be born in Bethlehem - Micah 5:2
He would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey - Zechariah 9:9
He would suffer and die - Isaiah 53
The blind would see, the deaf would hear, and the lane would walk - Isaiah 35:5-6
He would establish a new covenant - Jeremiah 31:31-34
He would be pierced for our transgressions and by His stripes, we are healed - Isaiah 53:5
These are just some of approximately 55 Old Testament prophesies about the Messiah. Like pieces in a puzzles, when you put them all together, Jesus is only historical figure who fulfills each one of these prophecies. There is a reason for that. He is the Lord!
Jesus paid the full ransom, meaning there is nothing left to pay. His sacrifice was enough. Paid in full and He guaranteed His covenant with us forever!
That is great news! Hence the ‘Good News’ or the ‘Gospel’.
David proclaims, “What a holy, awe-inspiring name He has.”
Consider what the Apostle Paul stated in Philippians 2:10-11:
“Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Philippians 2:9-11 NLT

How much more proof do we need to believe?
