Psalm 102:1-11
When life is bad it can certainly feel like everything is closing in on you. At times it can even feel as if God has forgotten or forsaken us because surely He would change our circumstances otherwise. Yet even Jesus experienced this as He Himself cried out on the cross, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?”
Even in our darkest moments, we must remember that God is always there. Our faith gets tested and endurance is needed as what God has told us in the light gets tested in the dark. That is what faith is. Faith sees what isn’t readily seen and faith knows and expects what isn’t experienced yet. Faith is the one thing that God requires of us for without faith, it is impossible to please God.
So in our dark moments, we are to look up with confidence knowing that God Who promised, is faithful. He will never abandon us and will bring us safely through any difficulty provided our trust is in Him.
