Psalm 135:19-21

When we take time to praise the Lord, He lifts our souls! To praise Him is to invite Him into our presence, and when God shows up, things change for the better. When the Scripture says to offer up the sacrifice of praise, that tells me that there will be times it will be a sacrifice. Life’s circumstances sometimes present challenges that can drain our soul, and yet we find that when we invite God into our situation through praise and worship, the answer often presents itself to us. Why is that? Because God has all the answers.

At church, I am on the praise and worship team. I am by no means an accomplished musician, so during services, I find that I am more focused on hitting all the piano notes or singing my harmony  correctly than on actual worship. Last night, my husband and I were invited to a conference where there were a few songs of worship prior to the teaching session. I was not playing and was so thankful for the opportunity to worship unhindered. It was a reminder to me to do that more often at home. Sometimes it is best to just put on some praise music and get lost in God. I promise you—in His presence, as the Scripture says, there is fullness of joy!

Everything we need is found in God. There is nothing better than experiencing answered prayer with the understanding that God has heard us and has answered us! He knows us better than we know ourselves.

When we read the Bible, we find this constant theme: Praise the Lord—almost as if it is a key to our life. Can I tell you? It is!

Happy Sunday all! We’re heading to church in a few with an opportunity to praise our Most High God—what a privilege. Take time today to acknowledge God, invite Him into your life, and experience the joy that can only be found in Him. Blessings all! We serve a great God!
