Psalm 92:1-7

Have you ever erupted in praise for the good things God has done? That is what the Psalmist is doing here. He is taking a moment to acknowledge God and thank Him. How often do we do that? How often do we just stop for a moment from all our busyness and acknowledge God who makes it all possible?
Remember the account of the ten lepers where Jesus healed them all and only one came back to thank Him? We can read about it in Luke 17:11-19. They asked Jesus from a distance to heal them and Jesus told them to ‘go show themselves to the priests’. He didn’t lay hands on them or pray for them, He just said to go show themselves to the priests. He asked them to do something. As they did something, ‘going to the priests’, they were healed of their leprosy. I wonder what would have happened had they not gone to the priests? This reminds me of Naaman, the commander of the Aramean army, as recorded in 2 Kings 5, who almost missed out on his healing from leprosy because he didn’t want to follow Elisha’s instructions to wash in the Jordan River 7 times.
It pays to follow through with Jesus instructions even though we may not understand why, or how what He is telling us to do is going to help us. Only one of the 10 lepers, upon realizing he had been healed, returned to thank Jesus and he happened to be a Samaritan. In Jesus’ words in verses 17-19:
“Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you.””
Luke 17:17-19 NLT

Jesus noticed then, and He notices now.
Has God blessed you? Thank Him! Has God protected you? Give Him praise! Take some time today to acknowledge and the One who is worthy of all of our praise! Gratefulness goes a long way!
