Matthew 15:29-31

What can’t Jesus do for us? It didn’t matter what ailment people brought to Him—He healed them. He demonstrated the reality and the benefits of the Kingdom of Heaven, as every sickness and disease was touched by His power. Think about the lives that were forever changed—both physically and eternally.

Sometimes we read through the Bible (if we read it at all ?), and we don’t take the time to truly consider what we are reading. If Jesus healed everyone who came to Him, and Scripture says He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, what makes us think He won’t do it for us? Scripture also tells us that He is not a respecter of persons—He doesn’t play favorites. However, we must come to Him with a posture of humility and repentance, fully believing that God is, and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

We won’t understand these truths unless we spend time in the Word. If we need faith, we are told that faith comes by hearing the Good News about Christ. We are also reminded that God has given each of us a measure of faith.

In a sense, we have all been given a “starter measure” of faith, but it is up to us to grow from faith to faith. We do this by becoming familiar with what the Scriptures say and by acting on what they say—and on what God speaks to us individually.

Learning to believe is both the answer and the battle. We must renew our minds to embrace the realities of heaven and manifest them here on earth. That is how we change the world—by His grace.
