Matthew 13:44-46

The Kingdom of Heaven is worth whatever effort is required to find it, understand it, and walk in it.

Did you know the Bible says that as believers in Christ, we are now citizens of heaven? Citizenship is a governmental term and comes with certain privileges and rights, as outlined in the Word of God—provided we are in good standing with the Kingdom.

Are we law-abiding citizens? What does that look like? Are we followers of the Bible—people of the Book—serving as ambassadors (another governmental term), representing the culture and nature of heaven? How do we do that? By walking in the authority given to us by Jesus and manifesting His Kingdom here on earth. Jesus Himself displayed the Kingdom through the miracles He performed while proclaiming this message:
“Repent, for the Kingdom of God is here.”

Heavenly citizenship is not something we must wait for. Scripture says we are citizens now. While we are not there yet, we serve as ambassadorial representatives of heaven.

Consider Colossians 1:13:

“For He has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His dear Son.”
Our life’s goal should be to ensure that our eternity is secure, while also helping those around us come to know Him—bringing as many with us as possible.

Jesus showed us what is possible through Kingdom living. Such knowledge and wisdom are worth everything we can give to obtain them.
