Acts 4:29-31

We may not be actively opposed in the States as the Apostles were, but make no mistake—opposition exists. Thankfully, the political winds have been in our favor under President Donald Trump. In fact, last night was a first for me, as a sitting president on national television took to reading 2 Chronicles 7:11–22 from the Oval Office (not that the media would cover it).

“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”

I am grateful for this president, who is attempting to bring God back into the conversation. Dark forces have been at work behind the scenes, and had it not been for him, I believe the church would be facing greater persecution than it is now.

With that in mind, there is work to be done while the waters are calm. If we have trouble sharing our faith while the waters are calm, what are we going to do when things get stormy? Maybe we need to pray as the Apostles did, asking God to give us great boldness in sharing His Word. May we implore God to stretch out His hand with healing power, that many signs and wonders may be done in the name of His holy Servant, Jesus.

God, as shown here, is willing to answer such prayers. All we need to do is pray them.
