Psalm 145:1-3

No one can measure His greatness! It is only when we take time to consider the work of God that we become overwhelmed by the vastness of His creation. Creation exists to glorify its Creator. Like it or not, we are His creation and are therefore created to bring Him glory.
Busyness is often a thief of this realization. How many of us go through life on a hamster wheel with no consideration of where we are going—or not going? True meaning only comes as we ponder our creation and our Creator. Some are quick studies; others catch on later in life after realizing the futility of all their work without a solid purpose.
I write these posts every morning as a reminder to myself to start the day with an acknowledgment of God, His ways, and His purposes, lest I become distracted by what calls itself “life” apart from God. It is easy to become burdened by the temporal at the expense of the eternal.
We were created to bring God praise in every aspect of our lives. The Apostle Paul states that whatever we do, we are to do it unto the Lord rather than for men. That doesn’t mean we ignore others; rather, it means that our lives are lived for God in service to our fellow man. We serve God by serving people, with our motivation being to please the Lord. We do it because He would want it, not to earn favor with man—though that is often a natural byproduct of true service. People recognize God through our generosity and praise Him because of it.
It all points back to Him, and He is the only one deserving of our praise!
