Psalm 109:26-31

David understood that if God was for him, it didn’t matter who was against him. His deliverance was assured. The Apostle Paul conveyed the same sentiment in Romans 8:31:
“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”

There is no one greater than God. When He has your back, you have nothing to worry about. We can trust that when we bring our troubles to Him, He will answer us.
Maybe you have been tripped up by your own poor choices. God’s mercy is also very great. Sometimes when we mess up, we think we don’t deserve to ask Him for help. I will let you in on a secret: we never did deserve His love. His love is not something you can work for. It is a free gift that has been given leading to salvation. We have but to receive what He has offered. Don’t let the devil steal anymore from you than he already has. Run to God and allow him to fix your mess. He welcomes your repentance.
He also knows how to set a table before you in the presence of your enemies (Psalms 23:5). There is nothing more infuriating to an adversary than for them to take their best shot at you and you remain unaffected, in fact, even blessed by the Lord through it, as David alludes to in today’s passage.
In fact, the Apostle Peter states it this way:
“So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.”
2 Peter 2:9 NLT

God also has a way of letting the adversary know Who he is really bucking up against. Nothing demonstrates this better than God delivering the Israelites from Egypt at the crossing at the Red Sea. You would think that all the plagues that preceded the crossing would have been enough for Pharaoh but he was an especially stubborn man. This proves yet another observation from the psalmist in Psalm 76:10:
“Human defiance only enhances your glory, for you use it as a weapon.”
Psalms 76:10 NLT

God always wins! It is best to be on His side in all matters. That is the path to blessing, deliverance, and provision.
