Psalm 109:8-14

David is not playing around here with these people that have falsely accused him. But what he does that we can all learn from is, he vents up. He takes his complaint to God and doesn’t hold back. Did you know that God can handle our complaints? Instead of taking matters into his own hands, David put these people and his situation in God’s hands asking God to intervene along with some suggestions of what to do to them ? I am sure God takes it under advisement but we can trust that He will handle them in the best way and keep us safe in the process.

 There is this thought that Christians are just supposed to take what people throw at us and not retaliate. Jesus does tell us to turn the ‘other cheek’ as an example but it is not that they are going to get away with it, it is just that we are not qualified to judge the matter justly and that why we put it in God’s most capable hands. He has all the facts, we don’t.

So we can trust that we have an Advocate in the Father and nothing escapes His notice. He is the best sounding board we could ever have so vent up to Him. He can be trusted to handle the matter in His time, His way.
