Psalm 111:7-8

The next few verses in Psalm 111 are quite powerful.
Here we see that all of God’s commandments are trustworthy. Why are they trustworthy? Because God is trustworthy. His reputation precedes Him and He is not going to lead us down a wrong path.
Notice that David says that God’s commandments are forever true, meaning they are not just some fad to be observed for a portion of time, but rather these are eternal principles to live by, to be faithfully adhered to with integrity.
We did not set this whole thing in motion - God did! And He knows how it works! He put things together with these principles (commandments) in mind. If we follow His principles we will find life and life more abundantly.
It was Jesus Who said that He came that we may have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). I think that is something we all would like.
God has shown us the way…we just need to walk in it.

I like how eternal truths are explained in a way that feels current. Doesn’t feel stuck in the past at all.
