Psalm 148:1-6

Do we understand that we are a “created thing”? God gave the command, and we came into being. He knew us before we were even born and appointed works for us to do, necessitating our creation. If we are here, He has a purpose for us.
It is almost as if each of us is a special envoy, assigned to particular task(s) for which we are uniquely qualified. In some cases, if we don’t do it, it doesn’t get done. No one can take your place in this world.
The area where I am most familiar with the impact of this truth is the church. Much of what we do runs on volunteers, and there is a uniqueness that each person brings to their particular area of service. When they are not there, the service they provide to others is missing, and the impact is felt. The devil loves to interfere and make people feel unimportant, but I can tell you the opposite is true. The gift you bring is you, and when you are not there, you are missing.
It is also true that when we don’t feel like we are making a difference, it becomes easier to walk away—such is the trap of the enemy.
It is so important to connect with God to discover our purpose. There is something very invigorating, inspiring, and motivating about realizing His purpose for us, and there is no better feeling than accomplishing it for His glory. Great praise erupts within our souls when we align ourselves with His purpose. There is a sense of “I was made for this” that resonates within our being that is unmatched.
We must learn to connect with Him on these matters. Quit looking to people to validate you and your purpose. God is all the validation you need.
I saw a quote a friend posted the other day, and it said this:
“You’re seeking validation from a world that crucified a perfect man.”
Wow. Isn’t that the truth? Ponder that for a moment. How many times have I felt bad about myself because of something someone said? The only opinion that truly matters concerning us is God’s. We have value because He created us. We need no further validation than that.
Now go and do what you were created to do!
