Psalm 139:23-24

This is a beautiful invitation we can offer to God—one that He honors and gladly accepts. To pray this way requires an understanding that God knows everything, which David clearly declares throughout this psalm. It is a fitting and heartfelt prayer spoken from someone who longs for there to be no distance between himself and God.
Sin separates us from God, and at some point we must decide what we want more. Scripture clearly outlines the things that are incompatible with God. To choose them is, ultimately, to not choose God.
David’s primary consideration (most of the time) was God. Do we consider God in our everyday thoughts and actions? Many troubles can certainly be avoided when we choose the right path. We face decisions daily that the Lord is willing to help us with—if we invite Him into the conversation.
Society as a whole has become increasingly computer-literate, and now with AI, vast amounts of information are available at our fingertips. I find I am asking Google questions all the time. Yet knowledge is only as good as its correct application. That is where wisdom comes in, and that is why we need God. He alone knows the “end from the beginning.” Who better to ask than the One who knows everything, including where each path leads? Had I known what was around the bend on a few decisions I made, I would have chosen differently.
I am grateful for the opportunity to seek God daily and to ask for the grace I need to live in a way that honors and pleases Him.
