Psalm 135:1-4

There is never not a good time to praise the Lord. We praise Him when we are happy for His blessings of goodness in our lives, and we praise Him in the bad times, for He is our source of strength and provision to see us through.
Many struggle when things are not going well. They question God, as if He were somehow responsible for their troubles. James, the half-brother of Jesus, reminds us:
“So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.”

If it’s not good, it’s not God—that goes for everything. Jesus very clearly tells us that:
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
John 10:10 NLT

We sometimes forget we have a mortal enemy. We must be careful not to blame God for the work of thieves motivated by Satan. Thank God, He has given us victory over our enemies through the blood of Christ.
I the words of the Apostle Paul:
“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 NLT

There is so much to praise God for each and every day, and in doing so, we become grateful children. Don’t you just love it when your child comes up to you and tells you they love you for no apparent reason? It melts the heart!
The scope of all that God has done for each of us will only be known in full when we get to Heaven; in the meantime, we praise Him in faith—not only for what He has done for us, but for what He has yet to do. His plans a good plans, to give us a future and a hope. Don’t fall prey to the script of the enemy. Recognize his workings in your life and cast him out. He has no authority to mess with a child of the King! For those submitted to Christ, that’s who we are!
All praise be to God!
